Tom Hull

Tom Hull wrote the Jazz Consumer Guide for the Village Voice from 2005-2011. He wrote several end-of-year list pieces to complement Francis Davis's Jazz Critics Poll. In 2009, he became more involved in the poll, when Voice music editor Rob Harvilla asked him to host the individual ballots. He continued to do this ever since, developing the current website. He eventually (c. 2024) took responsibility for organizing the poll, and has continued to do so since Francis Davis died in April 2025.
